March 12–29 2026

Save the date! Our online Convergence for 2026 will be Thursday, March 12 – Sunday March 29.

Last Year

To whet your appetite, here’s some information about the 2025 Convergence: The theme was Flowers of Resistance and the intention was With fear and anger, with sorrow and joy, we build our bridges of courage. The 2025 offerings are listed below

“A More Just World” Ritual

8:00pm-10:00pm Sat Apr 26
(8:00pm Eastern is 5:00pm Pacific, 6:00pm Mountain, 7:00pm Central, 9:00pm Brasília)

Description:
Ritual Intention: Stepping into the current, we hear those who call us forward to a more just world.

It is suggested that participants bring:

  • A small hoop/ring of some kind (might be a key ring, a binder type ring, a ring for a finger, an earring hoop, a very small embroidery hoop …). This should be something small enough to be worn in some way (on a string around the neck, around a finger, etc.), carried in a pocket, placed on an altar, or stowed in a drawer out of sight, if desired.
  • “elements” for consecrating the hoop (e.g., salt for earth; a candle, lit, for fire; vessel with water; breath will do it for air)
  • Possibly bring a length of ribbon or cord sufficient to put the ring around the neck, if desired.

Some bodily movement will be optional during the ritual, but not required.

Presenters: member’s of Spiralheart’s Anti-Racism Cell

  • Daedalus (he/they) is a trick of the light. A vague assemblage of colors and textures, a flood of words that only seems to hold meaning when in the midst of a dream. Daedalus is a notion…three spirit-bodies in a pale coat.
  • Ember (they/them) – I’ve been a practicing Pagan Witch for 22 years, and a Reclaiming Witch for almost half that time! I’ve been creating online content about modern Paganism and Witchcraft for 15-ish years now (@cutewitch772 on YouTube, under my given name, Cara Mia). My theatre arts background blends with my magic in a love of story-telling, symbolism, and creating ritual. My personal work currently focuses on celebrating my journey and progress, reaching toward hope, and rebuilding my spiritual business work to a place that sustains me, so I may continue to do my work in this world, and in all the worlds.
  • Ostara (she/they) – A witch since 1987 and a relic of the early years of MidAtlantic/SpiralHeart Reclaiming. After a hiatus while raising children, I returned to SpiralHeart camp in 2023 (with forays into some Reclaiming family camps in the interim).

I enjoy working with my hands and my mind and making meaning with story, symbol, and tradition. I delight in engaging with sacred space, sacred time, and Sacred Stuff; and hold up the importance of integrating sacred experience into, and through, our bodies.

Originally from the rural upper Midwest, I now live in the land of the Susquehannock and Piscataway peoples, in a place lately labeled Glenwood, Maryland. In past phases of my life, I worked in careers as a librarian, massage therapist and teacher, and stay-at-home mother.
  • Yarrow (they/he) – I have been meddling with —er, deeply involved in— the Reclaiming tradition since the late 1990s — in rituals, core classes, Witchcamps, sometimes in the streets with the Pagan Cluster. What I’ve learned seems to boil down to this: make the next mistake. Make the next of many mistakes. Make our mistakes in solidarity with each other, because none of us can do it alone, because every one of us is necessary.

“Witchcraft Activism” Book-Inspired Discussion

6:00pm-8:00pm Thu May 1
(6:00pm Eastern is 3:00pm Pacific, 4:00pm Mountain, 5:00pm Central, 7:00pm Brasília)

Description: “Witchcraft Activism” Book-Inspired Discussion

Session 1 of 2

This is a two-part discussion (perhaps with some practices?) inspired by the book “Witchcraft Activism: A Toolkit for Magical Resistance” by David Salisbury (2019). You do not have to have read the book in order to participate. I am preparing discussion prompts based on the information throughout the book, with the intention that anyone could join the conversation around the topics themselves, without having had to read it. I may read short sections aloud, and there may be some activities suggested that we could do together.

The book has three main sections, but I will be hosting this as a two-session offering, so the first session will focus on things from earlier in the book, and the second will focus on things from later in the book. I may have some prompts that are the same for both, in case some people can only make it to one, but it would be lovely if folks could attend both sessions. I am requesting registration just so I know how many people to expect, and so I will have everyone’s emails in order to send any resources afterwards.

Accountability Magic for our Descendants – a Ritual

8:00pm-10:00pm Tue Apr 29
(8:00pm Eastern is 5:00pm Pacific, 6:00pm Mountain, 7:00pm Central, 9:00pm Brasília)

Description: Accountability Magic for our Descendants – a Ritual

“Accountability is the magic of relationship.” (Reclaiming Principles of Accountability)

As we move forward into an uncertain future, a shared understanding of accountability can help us create safer and more accessible spaces that will support and encourage the full expression of our diverse magics. The newly consented to Principles of Accountability (PoA) are a spell and a magical working that can support your community to welcome diversity within safe and accessible space.

Join Gemini and sisal within sacred space in a ritual to travel on a trance journey to the Reclaiming Clan House to connect with our descendants and send them magic from the PoA. To empower that spell for our descendants, volunteer ritual attendees will aspect the descendants and speak to us about what the PoA means to them and to the future of Reclaiming.

Our intent for this ritual is: “Grounded in our commitment to our descendants, we stir the cauldron of accountability to empower Reclaiming, now and into the future.”

Presenter:

sisal (she, they) – I live on unceded land of the Papaya peoples in so-called San Antonio, TX, USA. I have been a witch and ritualist for 25 years, active in Reclaiming for fifteen years through the California Witchcamp community and the Tejas community. I’m a musician, death worker, gardener and brew witch, and a change agent called to other ways of knowing. I’ve offered and participated in a weekly online ritual honoring the dead for the past five years and am currently on the BIRCH Committee representing AIRA. In recent years I’ve become a champion for sustainability in my own life and in my communities, and I blog about that (intermittently!) at sustainablewitch.com

(AIRA is the Ableism-Impacted Reclaiming Alliance)

Gemini (she, her) is a poet and Reclaiming witch who lives in Ottawa, on unceded territory of the Algonquin people. She has been observing and learning from plant beings, winged ones and other creatures since she was a young girl, and as she eases into her crone years, her goal is to act as their creative and magical ally. Gemini has taught “Writing for Witches” and is the author of two poetry chapbooks: Six Poems for Healing and Dance by the Light of the Moon: Poems for Witches (both illustrated by amara hollowbones).

Courage in Accountability

5:00pm-8:00pm Sun Apr 27
(5:00pm Eastern is 2:00pm Pacific, 3:00pm Mountain, 4:00pm Central, 6:00pm Brasília)

Description: Courage in Accountability: Don’t Drink the Poison

Being unable to reflect on, acknowledge and repair mistakes can lead to intolerable stress and disconnection. Being unable to be accountable leads to community breakdown and continued systemic oppression. Drawing from teachings on accountability as guiding principles towards justice, mutuality and healing, participants move beyond right and wrong to solidify our integrity and belonging.

Within a carefully held container, we examine the conditions we need to be accountable and explore values which support, challenge and define us. We develop and instill practices to strengthen community wellbeing and build the collective resilience necessary for these troubling times.

Presenter:

Eleven (she/they) is a Pakeha of Irish/Italian Amerikan and Scots/English descent, privileged to be raised in comparative safety and the natural abundance of Aotearoa/New Zealand. She seeks deep justice and a fertile ecology by cultivating rich soil and robust, adaptive communities.

For 25 years, they’ve informed or performed behind a radio desk, on stage, in front of a classroom, in circle, under a tree and more recently, while looking into a computer screen. They’ve facilitated in Aotearoa, Australia, Timor Leste, Korea and Amerika, educated in high school classrooms, rehab, international language schools and mentored in arts workshops, and community gardens.

Eleven’s grateful to be rooted in global communities which support and shape her. She tips her hat to those who carved the paths she walks and works to keep the trails warm for those who will come, especially the creatives and folks with a radical understanding of Empire, Patriarchy and Capital.

Eleven is a life-long student: recently in Generative Somatics, post-humanism with fugitive philosopher Bayo Akomalafe and Undoing Racism® with the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond. They’ve been mentored by Undoing White Supremacy Austin (Texas) and Reclaiming Justice Witches to organize anti-racism ‘unlearning circles’, by Radical Faerie elders to facilitate liberating spaces for LGBTQIA+ folks, by Leather titleholders to work for social justice in kink community and by gardeners and ecologists to work for a living planet.

Kendi, to spur deep and honest reflection while being witnessed and held in community. The deck includes (yellow) “warm-up,” (green) “action,” (pink) “awareness,” and (red) “dialog” cards. Rooting Down with Queer Nature Magic

7:00pm-8:30pm Sun Apr 27
(7:00pm Eastern is 4:00pm Pacific, 5:00pm Mountain, 6:00pm Central, 8:00pm Brasília)

Description:  Session 1 of 2

The intention of this course is to offer a queer perspective on animistic, nature-based magic. We will talk about the inherent queerness of the natural world and about queer identity as something both natural and sacred. We will discuss plant and animal allies for queer and trans witches. I will provide guidance for students on connecting with the species in their own area and on establishing a working relationship with a plant or animal spirit. In alignment with the Convergence intention, there will be a strong focus on resilience and resistance. I will also offer “accessibility adjustments” throughout the class to make activities more accessible to a wide range of abilities.

Presenter:

Sam Wise (she/they) – Hailing from the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, Sam Wise is a Reclaiming witch and eclectic pagan with years of experience combining magic, activism, and queer culture. Sam is a member of AIRA (the Ableism-Impacted Reclaiming Alliance) and has been participating in virtual Spiralheart offerings since 2021. She has a passion for combining folk traditions with modern practices to create accessible, affirming magic. Outside of the magic circle, they enjoy tabletop games, Renaissance fairs, going to metal shows, and snuggling with their many animal companions.

Join us as we explore these themes and make magic together, celebrating who we find ourselves to be as we discover our true selves. Throw away the mold and witness who arrives.

I am part of the leadership Group for AIRA (Ableism Impacted Reclaiming Alliance).

I currently live in a long term care facility because of physical health issues, so online is my primary means of participation in most of my life.
